Some More Information About Me
I’m a mathematics tutor with a passion for helping students understand mathematics deeply, build confidence, and achieve ambitious academic goals.
I completed my PhD in Mathematics at the University of Oxford in 2024. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with more than 500 students, supporting them through school examinations, university applications, and the challenges of advanced mathematics.
500+ Students Tutored
Every student is different. My approach is therefore highly individual: I focus on understanding how each student thinks, identifying gaps in their knowledge, and developing a clear strategy for improvement.
A Track Record of Results
Over the years, none of the students I have tutored has failed an exam while working with me. I have also helped dozens of students gain admission to leading universities, including highly competitive institutions in the UK and internationally.
For me, success is not simply about getting the right answer. It is about helping students develop the ability to approach unfamiliar problems independently and confidently.
My Teaching Philosophy
Mathematics can often seem intimidating because students are expected to understand several ideas at once. I break difficult concepts down into clear, logical steps and then gradually build towards more sophisticated problems.
My lessons focus on:
Deep understanding, rather than memorisation
Clear problem-solving methods
Exam technique and strategic thinking
Building confidence through practice
Preparing students for demanding university courses
Developing independent mathematical thinking
More Than Just Exam Preparation
While strong exam results matter, I want students to leave my lessons with something that lasts beyond the next test.
The goal is to help students become better thinkers, stronger problem-solvers, and more confident learners.
Whether a student needs help overcoming a particular difficulty, wants to reach the highest grades, or is preparing for admission to a top university, I adapt the teaching to their individual goals.
My Approach
Understand → Explain → Practise → Challenge → Master
I believe that with the right explanation, consistent practice, and the right level of challenge, mathematics becomes much more accessible.
My aim is simple: to help every student reach their full mathematical potential.
