About Me
I am Dr. Stoica Mihnea. I received my PhD from the University of Oxford in 2024.
I’ve been tutoring students for over 10 years and helped dozens of students get into Oxford, Cambridge and other top universities.
For the past 6 years, my students have consistently achieved some of the best GCSE and A Level results in the UK, earning me 12 national and local awards.
100% Online Sessions
We’ll be using Zoom for all sessions. You won’t need a paid subscription. All you need is a working microphone and camera on your PC or laptop.
One-to-One Only
I don’t group students. I prefer to give every student my undivided attention. In specific cases (e.g. siblings who specifically want to work together), please contact me.
Working Hours
I am available from 1 PM to 9 PM on weekdays and from 8 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays.
Some of My Reviews

“I used to spend ages on a problem because I didn’t know where to start. The biggest change wasn’t that I suddenly knew every formula — I learned how to break a problem down and figure out what it was actually asking. That made a huge difference in my exams.”
- Maya R
“The sessions are actually quite intense, but in a good way. I’m constantly asked to explain how I got an answer instead of just being told whether it’s right. It made me much more confident when solving unfamiliar questions”
- Ethan W
“What I liked most was that we didn’t just go through the homework and move on. Whenever I made the same mistake twice, we stopped and worked out why I was making it. After a few weeks, I noticed I was catching those mistakes myself.”
- Daniel P
“Before starting tutoring, I would look at a difficult question and immediately skip it. Now I usually at least have a plan for attacking it. My grades improved, but honestly that change in how I approach problems has been more valuable.”
- Olivia K
“I was pretty convinced I was just ‘bad at maths’. The lessons changed my mind about that. Things that looked completely random at first started making sense once they were explained in a different way.”
- Patrick C
“Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended him to others.”
- Kate D.
